Fed says Text Messaging Prices are OK - Not too High

Our tax dollars are hard at work...

The Justice Department ended an investigation into inquiries that lead them to believe that text messaging prices were just too high. People were claiming that the price per data bit was ridiculous. The price had gone up from 10 cents to 20 cents a text and people suspected collusion between the large carriers.

After 15 months, the Justice Dept ended its investigation and claimed that the price hikes were fine and no action would be taken.

Sometimes I wonder how anything in the government gets done.
